Practical Ways To Save Money On Your Multi-Family Unit Energy Bill

Can you believe this weather?!?!? With highs of 104 and 105 degrees this weekend, the dog days of summer have come early. As Texans, we expect this sort of weather in late July & August but not early June! We hope you and your family have plenty of indoor & water related activities to stay cool (and safe) this weekend.

One of the more common questions we get from clients is "How can I lower my energy bill?" With a majority (almost all) of our clients owning multi-family units and apartments, this question is of utmost importance as inefficiencies are magnified when you have several (or dozens...even hundreds) of HVAC units. Over years of serving multi-family unit landlords and apartment owners, here are a few ways to reduce your energy bill:

1.) Invest in energy-efficient windows

2.) Install blackout curtains

3.) Adequately seal doors and windows

4.) Apply stick-on reflective film to deflect the sun

5.) Convert to smart thermostats

6.) Perform regular maintenance of your AC Unit

While many of these strategies can be performed by multi-family and apartment landlords, we would be happy to assist in any way possible to ensure that your HVAC unit is running efficiently. We've been serving clients through Texas for decades and would love to serve you! Contact us today for a free estimate - we're looking forward to hearing from you!
